The research project “Music on Display” at the Folkwang University of the Arts focused on current music exhibitions with regard to their forms of presentation, concepts, and modes of access. Conducted between 2015 and 2019 across 17 European museums, the empirical research included exhibition analyses, interviews with curators, and ethnographic studies on visitor reception. A range of publications has emerged from the project, including a general monograph and a dissertation.
